Hola! Welcome to my blog

World Marauder & Professional Storyteller

Who am I?

Hi! Welcome to my little space in the Mikrokosmos!

I’m a young woman in her early 30’s, no husband and kids so far who not only loves travelling but living a global life. From a young age I showed interest in other cultures and countries. In a non-digital age, I would spend my afternoons wandering through my grandfather’s travel books. I would spend long hours contemplating the photo books from England, objects from China and postcards from Egypt. I would look with curiosity at his language books, he had textbooks to learn Russian, Japanese, German among others. At the age of 8, I found something that trapped my mind in a way in which I didn’t felt the time flow.

As I grew up, I was lucky to have been raised by a family that supported my dreams and from a young age I started travelling and learning new languages. My mother language is Spanish and I’ve taken lessons for English, French, Italian, German, Korean and currently starting Japanese.

I’ve been part of different exchange, volunteer and study abroad programs. I’m committed to living a global life 🙂 trying new food, meeting new people and hopefully being open enough to be reshaped for the better by all these people and experiences.

Other curiosities about me.

Why a travel blog?

The main reason I started this blog was to keep a digital journal of my trips. After 15 years of travelling, I realised some details and places were starting to fade in my mind. I’m okay with not remembering every single detail, but I didn’t want to lose so many memories, experiences and stories.

I also wanted to organize the huge amount of photos and videos on USBs, folders and cellpones! In other words I wanted to feel more organized and decluttered digitally.

Secondly and most importantly is that I’m looking for my “ikigai” and, if I’m honest with myself, nothing flows more easily in me than organizing trips and travelling. With travelling being so trendy lately, I had a small identity crisis. Was I doing it to build an image? How “genuine” was my drive? But deep inside, I knew it wasn’t just a phase. I don’t have to explain myself to others when I know in my heart, this makes me happy. I have a full post about it, but for the purpose of this page, I’ll just say, I knew even without social media, even without a like or an aesthetic photo. I love travelling, and as long as I can, I’ll keep wandering this beautiful world as much as I can. And if I can make a living from inspiring and helping other people with my passion, then maybe, I have found my ikigai.

How solo travelling has changed me.

Freedom: I’ve learned to make my own choices and take accountability for them. Since I’m the one booking and paying for everything on my trips, the only one I have to blame for booking a cheap, noisy hostel, or congratulate for getting tickets for the Ghibli museums...

Trip to Dallas for BTS Jin’s concert.

Hi! Welcome to this post where I'll be sharing my experience planning and attending my bias's concert, in other words, World Wide Handsome Jins' concert. Getting a ticket was STRESSFUL! But exciting 😂 I’m over 30, and I’ve never been a fan of any artist or group as I...
